"A device may not be able to receive updates if the device hardware is incompatible, lacking current drivers, or otherwise outside of the Original Equipment Manufacturer's ("OEM") support period."
Furthermore in January of this year Microsoft
withdrew their claim "Microsoft Warns Windows 7 Is Dangerous To Use"

Thus far Microsoft have declined to issue any statement regarding security updates past the next Windows 10 Creators Update due in the Autumn for Laptops and PC's older than three years old.
This has to be the most blatant example of planned obsolescence.
