720p Resolution is sometimes poor, and sound is distorted, probably to prevent someone detecting the voices. Else, you'll have to rent it. Given how it presciently predicts Trump, it's got a new relevance.

That was a very powerful movie. Howard Beale's rants brought the Fight Club philosophy to mind.

Stage 1: Overwhelming mediocrity of life encourages the subject to enter a state of psychological isolation and apathy.

Stage 2: World hypocrisy is blamed for personal failure to find happiness.

Stage 3: Pointing out the hypocrisy of the world attracts followers, and soon the subject becomes a cult prophet.

Stage 4: Once the followers have become totally desensitized to the cultish emotional roller-coaster brought on by the rants, an ecumenical/communistic solution must be offered as the solution to world hypocrisy.

This is how Fight Club started with a man suffering from insomnia, progressing to nihilism, then to an underground boxing club, and finally ending with Project Mayhem.....all because people CHOOSE to believe that they are products of their environment.

I wonder if Tyler Derden's character was inspired by Howard Beale?

Thanks for sharing that movie. I enjoyed it.

I don't know if Derden is another update on Beale. It makes sense to posit it. Fight Club really got me. I had NO idea until the end, that Pitt's character wasn't real.
